PROOF OF LIFE
You are traveling through Nebula G-683 and encounter a rare, elusive space unicorn. What playlist does he give you to bring back to Earth to prove his existence? Unfortunately, you only have one cd (80 megabytes or about 12 songs) so choose wisely! Post your playlist in the comments section below. GOON SQUAD FOREVER'S PLAYLIST
1. Gang Gang Dance - Glass Jar
2. Julian Casablancas - Glass
3. Twin Sister - Kimmi in a Rice Field
4. Metrik - Between Worlds
5. Daedelus - Just Briefly (Jogger Remix)
6. Baths - Apologetic Shoulderblades
7. Puissance 13 + 2 - Spectre Arkham
8. Hooray for Earth - True Loves
9. Rhythm Droid - Sunrise on Planet Tokyo
If you don't believe in the space unicorn after that musical selection, I don't think you ever will. This Project Playlist would not have been started if it weren't for Allie Cope, thanks for the great idea! Stay tuned for more, amigos.

ReplyDeleteHey Gonzicorn,
This playlist comes from my second favorite Black Moth Super Rainbow album, called Dandelion Gum. The main bro once said in an interview that every song on the album is one's experience after eating magical dandelion gum made by two sisters deep in a forest.
I made this playlist based on 9 of the songs on the album. The first song is the experience I believe I would have if I ate dandelion gum. After that, the next 8 songs are the other experiences I believe I would have. In total, they represent the culmination of all experiences I could have if I were to eat dandelion gum.
Here is what I have written:
I have traveled far and I have traveled wide, and after all these years I look back on my life and think of nine noteworthy moments I have had. The first moment occurred in a small town, standing on the bluffs, overlooking a purple ocean. A man walked up to me and began telling me of a time he wandered deep into a far away forest and met two mystical sisters. The man told of their beautiful garden containing a magical plant called dandelion gum. The hot pink plant was so captivating, that the man was possessed to eat it.
I have since met 8 others who have told of eating the magical dandelion gum. All lived in vastly different places across the globe, but had somehow, someway, stumbled upon the cottage. Throughout the years, these stories fascinated me and I set out to find it myself. I have now since retired, as I am far too old, and unfortunately must say that I have never been able to find the magical dandelion gum, although I am pretty sure I was close once. Although I heard the same story 9 times in my life, it was what was told next that kept me captivated throughout the years. I would always ask “Then what? What happened after you ate the dandelion gum”? This is how they each replied:
